Pain in my back!!!

haha, just joking! okay angie, here's my spur of the moment blogging! You aren't the pain in my back......David hurt his back this morning.
We were getting ready for church this morning and he bent over to pick up something, and the groans began! When I got home from church this afternoon he determined that it was a pinched nerve in his lower back. He's a sight for sore eyes! He can't even walk without making the worst noise in the world. So I guess I'm playing nurse for a while!
Church was really good this morning! You know when you're in church and you think of people that you know should be listening to this message. But you can ALWAYS find yourself being preached to, more so than being the judgemental person that we all know we all are! Or am I the only one?!? lol. Well, today it was all about me! Hopefully everyone else too. I hope I'm not alone in this boat of life! So my mouth have gotten me in trouble my whole life! Shocker for most, I know....yeah right! So let's see if I'm up to the challenge of beating this thing once and for all!
Oh and just to let everyone know, I've been released fromt he Dr. I still feel tension, stiffness, or discomfort sometimes, but it's so much better than what I was feeling for the past half year! I've been trying to wear high heels more often..a goal I guess! Today, I wore some shoes that I haven't worn in a long time and normally these shoe would kill me, but I was good the whole time I was wearing them! Praise God!

Trip 1 down, trip 2 on the way

Wow, so we're back from the cruise. We had a blast! Too many stories to tell and probably share! Our cabin steward was the envy of many. Terry got to play in the band. And our guy at dinner that came to give us drinks was a volgar, perverted guy! I hope he gets fired! All I have to say is that if I wanted to hear such filth, then I could've stand home and watched cinimax for free....Does Cinimax still exist? Anyway, we got to know our group on a whole new level. Terry and Christine are some party animals! Rough waters on the way back, though! We had 10 foot seas. At 15 everyone would have had to stay in their cabins. We went snorkeling...and again for someone that loves swimming, I remain a scaredy cat to jump into the ocean. My husband, Scuba Steve talked me into continuing the journey with the rest of the group. The fact is, I love swimming, I love the water, but the thought of seeing something in the ocean, like a skeleton, or a ship wreckage, and as of this trip..jellyfish, just down right scares me! Oh well, I did enjoy seeing the underworld. And trying to surprise your husband when there is another man in the ocean that looks just like him, is quite embarrassing! That's all I have to say about that! lol. Poor Deano!

Road to Recovery

Well, two months ago I got into a car accident. Nothing bad. I got hit from behind, the bumper on our car was hanging a little bit. This happened the week of the Women's Conference. I felt fine, until the first night of the Women's Conference. Now I've experienced migraines in my life, but nothing like this before. I was in tremendous pain. The next day I was fine, though. I went two weeks with a little discomfort, nothing I couldn't live with. But then, oh my goodness. I had to go to the doctor! It hurting, or pain just hit me. So for the past month and a half I've been seeing a Chiroprator. And then for the past month I've also been seeing a Physical Therapist. Two times a week for both of them. I've had to take a season off of the praise team. I couldn't stand that long, too painful! But Praise God, for the past two weeks, my back has been feeling much better. And my doctors are starting to see me only once a week starting next week. My back is feeling SO much better. When I started going to the doctor's, they said no exercising! I was only allowed to swim. So I've gotten an okay tan this summer. But next week, I'm allowed to go back. They want to see if my back is truly better, before they start thinking about releasing me. I'll probably start back on the praise team again in October! Hopefully.
These past two months have been frustrating, though. It's hard not being about to do the things that you've always been able to do. I could only do a little bit of cleaning, and then I had to take a break! I was getting nowhere, fast. I couldn't even carry a gallon of milk! My back would flame up! But yesterday, out of necessity...I had company come over for lunch, I was able to clean my whole house! No problems during, after, and even later. Even today, I'm still feeling normal!
When I found out that I couldn't do ANY kid of exercising...I started to feel really sad and sorry for people that got into bad accidents. Because I didn't think that mine was bad at all. And here I was in pain and wasn't allowed to do anything! Surely others have experienced worse! For something I didn't think was bad, surely turned out to be a trial.
Anyway, I'm happy to be back in the saddle again! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's faces from the stage again.

Fried Green Tomatoes

Hey everyone,

So let me tell you what happened to me at Walmart yesterday. Tell me if you recognize the scene from Fried Green Tomatoes.

I was driving around the parking lot...and I found a lady finishing up loading her groceries. So I pulled to the side of the aisle, put on my blinker on and waited. All of a sudden, this huge Surburban pulled up on the side of me, wanting the same parking spot! I honked my horn, to let her know that it has already been claimed. She paid no attention to me. Thank God, the lady in the parking spot put her vehicle back into drive, which cause the parking hog to drive off! I wanted to go "Tawanda!" on her booty! But I'm all talk. Only in my head could something beautiful like that happen!

This past weekend, David and I, download over 600 songs for our mp3 players! I'm so excited! All of John Mayer, Michael Buble, Norah Jones, Lifehouse, etc. I'm so excited. I had the headphones on all day yesterday!

Well, that's my life right now. Going good, how's everyone else's. Oh, this summer was fantastic when it came to the big screen! Transformers, Spiderman 3, Bourne Ultimatum, Ratitouille, Pirates of the Carribean. I failed to see Shrek 3 and Die Hard, but that's okay, Hollywood got enough of our money, wouldn't you say? My favorite was Transformers, but then I saw Bourne....I love that movie, also!

Blue Bayou!!

This week flew by fast. Tuesday I went with my dad and neices and nephew to Blue Bayou. Wow, driving up there I was thinking to myself, "When was the last time I went there?" The answer 10 years!!! Can I tell you, that makes me feel very old. I used to go EVERY year since it opened! For the first time in my life, I had to put on sunblock! How aggrevating! I got a little burn, which I never recall doing before, either. I've always been a great tanner, truth is, when you stay inside alot, your tan doesn't stay very long. And when you haven't been swimming in over two years...I can't finish the rest of this topic, to sad to think about. I use to not look like a "white girl". hehe. Anyway, we rode the bumper cars at Dixie Landin'. I haven't rode a bumper car in about 15 years. Wow!!! When I got out, I said that I felt like "Fried Green Tomatoes", "Towanda!" If anyones seen that movie, you get it, (the parking lot scene). Don't know what I'm gonna do with myself...David has his 2 weeks for National Guard coming up. Ever since he's been back from Iraq, we've been inseparable. But two weeks, of my goodness...someone give me ideas now, please!!! Well, that's all folks.

And the rain, rain, rain came down, down, down

I love rain!!! It has been raining for the past couple of days...and I am happy as a clam...is that the correct metaphor? Anyway, I absolutely love when it rains. It puts me in this mood. Not a bad one, just a mood! A "let's do something, like play games" kind of mood. Of course when David is at work, I have no one to play with, so for the past few days, I've been going out side and reading. Listening to the rain dropping on our tin roof, hearing the wind blow and making my windchimes play music. So relaxing. Rain, there's something magical about it....when I was a kid, it allowed us to stay inside and that's where the creativity starting flowwing, trying to entertain ourselves with what was available. And kid can come up with some crazy stuff when their imagination is at work! I love sleeping in the rain, one day I hope to say that I love dancing in the rain, playing in the rain, and whatever else there is to do in the rain.
I've always loved rainy days. When I was in high school, I loved it for the wrong reasons. I tried to be someone I probably wasn't. Hanging out with the gothic crowd and anything "weird" or "sad" was suppose to be appealing....the color black, you should have seen my wardrobe, of course, I wasn't any good and being something that I'm not. But I still love the rain, dark skies, thunder, lighting, puddles. The earth smells fresh and clean after a pour of rain, the worlds bath. Anyway, just felt like blogging. I hope to be more consistant with this, this time around.

American Idol

Hey everyone
Wow it’s been a long time since we posted, hasn’t it. Well, since then, I’ve been training as a receptionist at Manuel Builders. The current receptionist is going on maternity leave soon. Last Wednesday she asked me to start coming in everyday, since her due date would be arriving in the next few weeks. So I go in last Thursday to find out that she had the baby that morning. So I’m officially employed for the next seven weeks.
Last year was crazy. We got married in February and we attended a wedding every single month after that. We really enjoy our down time. 2005 was nothing but planning for the wedding, it made 2006 down time. We got a chance to sit down and actually watch and enjoy TV. It seemed like almost every night of the week we had something to watch. And it all started with American Idol last year. We came in very late in the game. But immediately we had a favorite…Chris Daughtry. So we found other shows to past our time before the new season. We love Heroes on Monday nights. Tuesdays and Wednesdays was Dancing with the Stars, but now it’ll be American Idol. And, of course, Smallville on Thursdays! And the weekends are free, but now we’ve kind of watch the Grease show, and we’ve gotten into The Apprentice. It sounds like a lot of shows, and you know what…it is! But we really have been enjoying the down time!
I went into that spill just to say that, I’m so excited about American Idol starting up. And tonight starts off the funniest episodes of the season. Get ready to laugh! I waited awhile to post this blog because I wanted to find a picture of William Hung's audition, but I forgot, so you will just have to remember him....."She bang, She bang!" haha!!
