Busted!

I was suppose to write Friday, but didn't have time. So I'll start this entry with something that just happened. Allie was sleeping, and lately she's been sleeping on her back, like a dog. Once she woke up, we got her playing. The pictures look like she's sleeping with her bear friend, then making out with it, then she got busted. How funny, she was really wrestling with it though. Sha Allie Cat!
Anyway, Friday I went to work with David. It was fun. Answered a few phone call, saw alot of faces. Last night we went see One Night with the King. Very good movie. I was so glad that I went to the women's conference. It really helped knowing the whole story of Esther and the deeper meaning of each character. Tommy Tinney did a beautiful job. One complain, though...Don't you just hate those people that talk during the movie. These two ladies sitting right next to me never shut up. One would ask a question, and of course the other had to go into detail. Well, at the end of the movie when Haman, Esther, and the King were at dinner, the talking lady sitting next to me asked, "Now why he had to be there?" She was talking about Haman. I just had to answer, so my reply was, "Because it's in the book!" For the rest of the movie, about two minutes, she didn't say one more word. And David was just laughing at my answer to her. It was humorious, but we were so aggrevated throughout the whole movie because of the distractions.

A Woman After God's Own Heart...

Okay, I know this has nothing to do with what I'm about to write about, but I had to show ya'll our dining room wall. I hadn't written in a while and my stepmother, Connie wrote and said that the "Great Wall" must have been taken up my time. I thought the letter was funny.
Back to business. Yesterday, I went bring something to David at work. He goes to work and evidently has been "bragging" about ALL the things that I do as a wife. The quotations are there because some are actually false, but funny. Yes, I do wake up and iron his clothes while he gets dressed. After, I make his lunch, then some form of breakfast, mostly on the go type stuff. Then he has a home cooked dinner waiting for him when he gets home. The lies...He leaves his dirty shoes at the door, and they are clean in the morning because I cleaned them. Ha. They asked me if we exchange cars for me to go change the oil, yes this is true, but playing along I fibbed and I added that I change the oil myself, why waste money. The women where flabbergasted. They thought he was exaggerating the truth this whole time. It's funny how they believe me. The looks in their eyes was funny, but at a second glance it almost looked as if they didn't feel like they were doing a great job as a wife, because I "do" so much more. I wanted to come clean, but we have to keep the charade going.
I was reading the book, A Woman After God's Own Heart, and there are a few chapters about the love of a wife toward her husband. To summarize, a wife who loves her husband is a wife who prays, plans, prepares, pleases, protects, physically loves, positively responds--and then prays some more. Doing this whole lists will communicate "I love you" more powerfully than words alone can.
Boy, talk about feeling inadequate. That really is an extreme word, but I can't think of a better word right now. Yes, I do fulfill a little in each category as do all of us probably. I almost feel like we have to be perfect in each category for our husband to feel the love that God wants him to feel. Which I hope that isn't totally true, because I can promise that I know that I will fall short each time. Hey, I'm only human.
Anyway, it's a great book, so many things speak out to me, I could probably highlight the whole book. Gotta love those kinds of books. Another one like that is, Five Love Languages. We read that book together before we got married. I tell helped out alot, we learned alot. It was one of those books that you literally can't put down. You could read it in several hours, and I promise you, I am anything but a fast reader.

Getting Up There!

Okay guys, the waiting is over. I'm so sorry it took so long to write another post. Please forgive me! Anyway, this weekend was fun, fun, fun. Friday night we went to the movies to see The Guadian! Fantastic movie! I could never do what the Coast Guard does! Saturday GO CAJUNS! We went tailgating. Did anybody see my wonderful celebrity husband on the news. TV 10 came and interviewed the group next to us, then we were next. See what happens when you start the day early. haha. Terry and Christine came, she colored her hair the previous day. I love it. I need to stop thinking about it, or else I'm gonna follow in her steps and start coloring my hair again. Someone please talk me out of it. But I love it so much. Next subject...okay, I'm better. Rachel came, she WON in horseshoes. GO RACHEL! Sunday, we visited Baton Rouge, ate a great dinner, thanks Connie, then went to my nieces Birthday Party. She had it at a Gym. All the children got to go around the gym and do different gymnastics stuff! How fun! It made me feel old when I made the statement, "They didn't have that when I was her age!" I find myself saying or thinking that alot lately. I don't like it one bit. It didn't bother me much before, but I took gymnastics when I was little, and I absolutely loved it, I wish I would have continued it! Oh well. Well, I just wrote about my weekend, maybe tomorrow I'll think about something better. Love ya'll!
